Decide which step you want to simplify
A moisturizing sunscreen may make a separate hydrating serum unnecessary for some people. That depends on comfort, the complete formula and the role of the serum. A sunscreen containing peptides or ceramides is not automatically a replacement for a prescribed treatment or a product chosen for a specific skin concern.
Also clarify the word hybrid. It can describe a mixture of mineral and organic UV filters, or be used loosely for sunscreen with additional skincare benefits. These are different meanings and neither guarantees a better finish.
Read protection claims separately
The FDA explains that sunscreen active ingredients provide UV protection, while the other formula components are listed as inactive ingredients. Inactive does not mean irrelevant to how the finished product behaves.
SPF is a tested property of the finished sunscreen. You cannot conclude that changing moisturizing ingredients would leave its SPF unchanged, or calculate extra protection from an ingredient list. Look for broad-spectrum labeling and follow the exact package directions.
Simplify optional layers, not application
Try omitting one optional hydrating step while keeping sunscreen application consistent. Compare comfort and makeup behavior with your usual routine. If skin feels dry, a separate tolerated moisturizer may still be useful. If products pill, review the combination rather than reducing sunscreen until the pilling disappears.
Use sunscreen as supplied. Mixing it in your palm with serum or foundation produces a different mixture whose labeled protection has not been established. Layer according to the products' instructions and allow the sunscreen to settle before makeup.
Keep Abib product roles clear

For sticks, the AAD recommends four back-and-forth passes per area followed by rubbing in. Adequate application may require a makeup touch-up.
Plan the rest of the day
Follow reapplication directions, including after swimming, sweating and towel drying. A water-resistance interval is different from ordinary reapplication timing. Protect the container from excessive heat and sunlight, and use shade and protective clothing alongside sunscreen. A simpler routine succeeds when it remains comfortable and practical without sacrificing proper use.
